ANIMA SGN presents the second edition of ECHEA – A Space for Sonic Resonance and Reflection.

This edition features Mai Huyền Chi, Tam Nguyen, Lưu Bích Ngọc, Bao-Han Nguyen-Vo with the host Lan Linh Merli-Nguyen Hoai—the core members of the forthcoming book project On Forgetting.

On Forgetting is a bilingual, independent hybrid publication reflecting on the 50-year legacy of the Vietnamese–American War through the lenses of memory, trauma, and reclamation. Bringing together essays, poetry, visual art, criticism, and conceptual writing from both native and diasporic Vietnamese voices, the book assembles a curated, multidisciplinary archive that seeks to preserve, question, and reimagine the narratives we inherit—and those we are told to “forget.”

In this conversation, the members share personal stories, what draws them to this project, and how they experience the processes of forgetting and remembering in relation to the past of their country and their roots.
