Tam Nguyen (he/they) is a London-based curator, writer, and researcher, who is interested in how (non-)institutional infrastructures facilitate or hinder artistic and cultural mobilities in the global context.

From 2024-5, Tam is a Curatorial Fellow at New Curators (London, UK), a paid curatorial training program for curators of lower socio-economic backgrounds, and will become a graduate student in the Contemporary Art Theory MA at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Tam was a recipient of the “Emerging Writers’ Fellowship” (Southeast of Now, 2023), an artist-in-residence at the Armenian Center of Contemporary Experimental Art (Armenia, 2023), and a writer-in-residence at the Jan Michalski Foundation (Switzerland, 2024).

Tam’s writings appeared and are forthcoming on several platforms, namely Southeast of Now: Directions in Contemporary and Modern Art in Asia (NUS Press), Art & Market, Art Republik, and Specimen: The Babel Review of Translations.

Recent curatorial projects are associated with Camden Art Centre (akĂąmi-,2025, London), the Nguyen Art Foundation (Illuminated Curiosities, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City), and The Wrong Biennale (Directory, 2023).

Tam holds a BA in Art and Media Studies from Fulbright University Vietnam.
