Taking as its inspiration a sixty-four part prose poem by Donna Stonecipher, this month's spiral is an analgesic trip into the comforting doldrums, charity-shop hauntology, comfy jumpers, free association and forgetting what you came for, going the long way across the rickety bridge between past and present. In ancient Greek nostos means ‘a return home.’ Seven-inch singles, slowed-down songs and personal favourites, all recollections warped by the weakening autumn sun in the ruins of nostalgia.
