This started as a show about questions of willpower and resolution, digging into BB’s self help cassette collection, but giving recent events, the bulk of it is given over some urgent analysis of the last week, courtesy of comrades from Venezuela and Ecuador who spoke with raw and real generosity about the stakes and meaning of this moment through their eyes. We get a reality check about the economic issues in play, the Black and Indigenous perspectives conveniently cut out of the diaspora discourse wars, and a lesson in embracing depth and complexity not as an excuse to shrug but a reason to dig in and learn. You'll hear some folk music of the resistance from the country and the wider region, and of course, a little self-help for good measure. We need it. Fuerza y amor.
