Born in China and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Shai FM is a DJ and producer who moves fluidly across the bass and club spectrum, influenced by a cross-cultural upbringing. Now based in Philadelphia, he’s earned a reputation for mixing and producing forward-thinking music with shapeshifting rhythms and luminous atmospheres. He’s shared stages with artists like Two Shell and Nikki Nair, holds a residency on Philly’s Great Circles Radio, and has been featured on Resident Advisor’s Mix of the Day.
