CARISTA's Dutch Black Music Favourites

As we prepare to host the second iteration of A History Of Black Music Through Vinyl, taking place at Werkplaats (Volkshotel, Amsterdam) during ADE, we're happy to share a list of vital and brilliant records from Dutch Black music history, as chosen by CARISTA.

The installation presents a selection of LP covers together with stories written about each record, whilst our DJs will be spinning the wax. We are hosting the installation in collaboration with CARISTA's United Identities collective, as well as our long-term partners from ChariTea / Groove For Good, from Thursday, October 22nd until Sunday 25th. It's free to attend and open to all.

We asked CARISTA to select a few important Dutch records we could add to the installation, and being the legend she is, she came back with an in-depth list that's too good not to share. Happy digging.
