A photography open call exploring change in urban space. Apply here. Radio station Refuge Worldwide and Safelight Film Lab collaborate on a photography competition, inviting up-and-coming photography enthusiasts to take a photo with the theme “A City In Transition”. The city can be anywhere. We are looking for personal perspectives on transformation - social, cultural, political, architectural, emotional. Shot on anything. This competition is intended for amateur/hobbyist/up-and-coming photographers, not people who make their main living by taking photos. Each participant can submit a maximum of 5 images (max 10MB each) plus titles & descriptions via this form. The deadline to submit is Monday, April 6th. Winners will receive prizes from EDWIN, as well as from photography brands Polaroid and CineStill, and also from hosts Refuge and Safelight.
Event Info
The winners will be announced at Refuge Worldwide’s space on Saturday, anApril 18th (5-10PM), when we will also host an exhibition of all the photos submitted, an Emulsion Lift workshop for all participants, a radio show and a DJ set. The event is open to all, both people who submitted photos and those just interested to come by. There will also be food served by Roti Mami. The event program will be as follows:
6PM event start, browse exhibition 630PM Polaroid Emulsion Lift workshop 8PM Announce winners + short interviews about the photos 9PM DJ set 10PM close This event is supported by EDWIN Supply, and with additional prizes contributed by Polaroid and CineStill. The workshop element takes place in collaboration with Refuge’s non-profit, Unity In The Community gUG.
