Exist is a festival and event series founded in Palestine, with the aim of building bridges between artists, musicians, DJs and curators from Palestine and across the globe. Its broad, transnational family are united in a desire to use art to impact their environments in critical ways, and through their engagement with anti-colonialism in the context of Palestine and beyond.

Emblematic of the DIY spirit that colours Palestine’s various musical subcultures, Exist is a homegrown, self-funded project. Some of Exist's main principles include resistance to homophobia and to the ongoing colonisation of various parts of the world by state actors or multi-national oligarchs. Colonisation leaves no one free and targets communities (human and non-human) that are most marginalised by capital and historical racial and ethnic structures.

Exist upholds these far-reaching principles by specifically inviting artists who tackle these issues in their work and offering them a platform. Exist call on all participating artists to uphold Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions guidelines.
