We are living through an unprecedented moment. As the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, which began in 1948, reaches a new level of frenzied violence every day, and our craven world leaders are content throw money at the show, we cannot ignore that more and more people are choosing the path of solidarity, despite the consequences. This special show will offer a gentle reflection space and a holding zone for strength-gathering, interspersed with urgent voices who have been on the frontlines of actions of many kinds this past month, here in Berlin and beyond, stepping up even when all around us silence reigns and cowardice is handsomely rewarded. We will survey the essential work of solidarity with the Palestinian people that is happening in Germany, with contributions from those new to this work and those who were born into it, and look further afield. What is the price paid for solidarity? We will hear from voices who have experienced this brutal repression at the hands of both state and social structures from simple expressions of outrage at the carnage wrought by constant bombings. This is a sonic salute to those who speak up, are punished for it, and become only louder still. After all, who profits from silence?
