Justice for Nurideen | Igwe, Suska, NaN & TRU:L

With NaN, TRU:L, Igwe, and Suska

YAAM stands for Young African Art Market, and its community of African and Afro-Caribbean people now needs your attention and support!

Initially intended to be a safe space for Africans in Berlin, YAAM has become a place where our community is not only misrepresented but also put in great danger. In April this year, our beloved Nurideen tragically lost his life after an altercation with the security team. We have come together to honor Nuri's memory by demanding justice and working towards a safer future for us all.

We are seeking support in the form of donations to cover a lawyer's expenses in our pursuit of justice, which is our main priority.

This is not possible without also demanding accountability from the managing board of Kult e.V., with a clear plan for making the much-needed changes that should have been implemented long ago—changes that were brought up by the community for a long time and could prevent such tragedies in the future.

Let us come together to honor Nurideen's memory, demand justice, and reclaim YAAM as a safe space for our community.
