Sonic Lives of SİNEMA: Ish + Dub Epistemologies

Tracing the sonic worlds of film and cinema through conversation, music, film extracts, field recordings and archival material, this series draws on events in the current programme of SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA to explore the connections between sound, memory and place.

November, followed by Ashley Holmes’s live audio essay Dub Epistemologies, we speak with Holmes about the sonic space of Luton, where he grew up and where the film was shot, and its lasting influence on his life and work.
