Signals from Gaswerk Music Days | Gaswerk Team, Elle Kai & Halosaur

Leading up to Gaswerk Music Days festival, this ongoing series on Refuge Worldwide introduces selected artists from the festival lineup alongside voices connected to the residencies hosted at Gaswerk. Returning in summer 2026 for its fourth edition, the festival unfolds across two weekends with six days of concerts and special formats dedicated to Radical Live Music, bringing together experimental electronics, African sounds, dub, avant-pop, kraut, improvisation, jazz, and dance music.

For this episode, festival co-director Letizia Trussi (aka Elle Kai) welcomes Halosaur ahead of his July 24 live modular performance at Gaswerk Music Days. Through the invited artists’ music and Halosaur’s original productions, the show traces the atmosphere of MODULA, a festival day entirely devoted to live modular sound, bringing together established international artists and members of the Gaswerksiedlung community. MODULA understands synthesis as performance, circuitry as dialogue, and modular systems as instruments of intuition and open-ended experimentation
