Rhythms of Dissent | Phil Richarde & Something Black

Rhythms of Dissent, hosted by Something Black and Phil Richarde, is dedicated to songs about solidarity, resistance and independence. Each host brings their own, distinct perspective to the music of resistance, together weaving a broader picture of political songwriters and bands who have musically processed the struggles of their countries.

Something Black also introduce his Scratched Grooves collaboration where he explores vinyl records that were previously banned and physically damaged by the South African apartheid state to prevent them from being played on radio.
