Harmonizing Soweto: Golden City Gospel & Kasi Soul from the new South Africa - nine young, male voices from Diepkloof, Soweto, united by a love of gospel music and kasi soul (a singing style unique to the township), ready their debut album with renowned global heat seekers Ostinato Records. During rolling blackouts due to government mismanagement, Diepkloof United Voice poured their heart, soul, and vocal chords into their debut record, giving their own take on everything from an African soldiers song to Rihanna’s hit single Stay, with Ostinato Records there to capture the moment.
