With Goethe-Institut

AK13, a dynamic hip-hop group comprising talented young Afghans, epitomizes the vibrant spirit of Afghanistan's youth. Since their inception in 2014, they have been actively engaged in empowering individuals through the liberating influence of hip-hop culture. Their rap videos have garnered millions of views, captivating audiences both within and beyond the nation's borders. Recognizing the importance of social and political activism, AK13 tirelessly strives to foster meaningful structural transformations within Afghan society through their music. All members of AK13 were born during the time when U.S. troops invaded Afghanistan, and they are now entering their twenties as the troops have withdrawn. Recently, they have sought refuge in Europe. However, despite their relocation, their primary objective remains: to contribute to the reconstruction of a peaceful Afghanistan.
