The scene in Greece has undergone a renaissance of sorts, with Athens becoming a hotspot for creative minds from around the world. Here, DJ/producer Stathis Kalatzis – a mainstay of the Greek scene for a while – has taken on the task of walking us through the bustling here-and-now of Athens subculture. This mix is primarily composed of music released by Athenian musicians in the past year. Musically, it’s a diverse bag locking in at 100 bpm, showcasing the whole spectrum of underground sounds coming out of the Greek capital. Young up-and-comers and household names, soothing, experimental vibe, and rowdy rhythms – it’s all right here in an action-packed 60 minutes.
