Cinema of the Global Majority | Cinelogue

With Cinelogue

How can we create an ecosystem that allows cinema from the Global Majority to thrive?

In this show, Nora Bess and Rehana Esmail introduce Cinelogue, a non-profit streaming platform founded by Esmail that provides a collaborative space for film curation and critical dialogue by showcasing the cinema of the Global Majority – people from formerly and currently colonized regions who make up over 80% of the world’s population. They discuss the platform’s origins, library, and why it’s more critical than ever to ensure access to films from often-overlooked regions.
