ANIMA SGN welcomes Kim Dürbeck — the Norwegian-Vietnamese artist, DJ, and composer whose music moves between worlds, weaving roots and rave into something deeply personal and powerfully global.

Co-founder of Lek Rec and part of Club Kowloon (HK/NO), Kim has spent over two decades behind the decks, shaping high-BPM journeys that bridge jungle, techno, electro, and ambient with the textures of Vietnamese traditional sounds. His releases, including “Nuoc Mắm Is My Holy Water” on Nhạc Gãy and his debut 12” vinyl on Lek Rec, blur the line between memory and movement — soundtracking the collision of diaspora identity and club ecstasy.

From composing for The National Norwegian Theater (Samtaler med bror, 2022) to touring across Vietnam’s underground scene, Kim’s work channels transformation, nostalgia, and connection. He has been a DJ for over 20 years, favoring styles like ghetto tech, juke, jungle, techno, and break music — resulting in eclectic, high-energy sets that pulse with intensity and spirit.
