Vietnam's bustling streets pulse with the energy of over 58 million motorbikes and mopeds, defining the fast-paced rhythm of life in cities like Hanoi and Saigon. These two-wheeled vehicles are more than just transport—they're the lifeblood of the nation, shaping its movement and culture. In the same spirit of dynamic energy and cultural ubiquity, Nhạc Gãy, a multidisciplinary collective and label founded in Saigon in 2019, has risen as a creative scene in Vietnam. Renowned for their high-energy raves and debut compilation "Nhạc Gãy Tổng Hợp Số 1," they bring local and diasporic artists into the global spotlight. Nhạc Gãy crosses boundaries between club culture, contemporary art, and live performance, collaborating with platforms like Boiler Room and NTS Radio. ANIMA SGN is thrilled to present two of Nhạc Gãy’s exceptional members in the next 2 hours. Tune in for a slice of Saigon's growing contemporary R&B scene with Khánh, a DJ and crew member of Nhạc Gãy. Khánh has also worked with the An Việt Archives in London on sonic art and archiving projects, most recently contributing to "Well Settled," a commission exploring Vietnamese heritage through sound. PH00000NG channels dissonance into surrealist charm, pushing genre boundaries to unveil new expressions of sonic queerness. Moving between Hanoi and Saigon, Phong embodies a digitally native, identity-shaping generation of Vietnamese youth. As a multifaceted artist, they've taken on roles as DJ, producer, organizer, and community contributor, leaving their mark on platforms like Gãy, VẤP CỤC ĐÁ, and globally recognized outlets such as NTS, Baihui, V2X, Kiosk, and Operator.
