aequa Radio, with BB

aequa Radio aims to spotlight people who are worldbuilding amid the intersecting, accelerating collapses of our time. Who are the ones helping us re-member our bodies as the literal body of the earth? Who are the ones midwifing new/old beautiful ways of being into this world, even as we try our best to topple empire and kick our addiction to modernity in the process? And what music and sounds are moving and will move us as we process these these changes?

Episode #51 features one of my radio and life faves, the incomparable, unstoppable BB — host of Refuge’s own The Spiral Times, as well as an organizer, archivist, punk, harm reductress, group facilitator, campaigner, zinester, record-selector, mutual aid fundraiser and a Very Brilliant Very Principled Very Silly Kaleidoscopic Being.

This interview was recorded mostly on a ferry between Valletta, Malta and Pozzallo, Sicily — the mid-point of a three-week-long grounded journey over land and sea during which we had the honor and pleasure of co-facilitating workshops for Good Night Out Campaign and Big Beef and Beyond — two of BB’s many worldshifting brainchildren.
