ADUNO Soundsystem is a sonic archive and audio research practice that explores sound as an ancestral technology of remembrance. It questions what remains beyond the threshold of death and erasure and moves across time continuums, mapping the phenomena of African and diasporic expressions.
This transmission moves briefly through the life and work of Aby Ngana Diop, a Senegalese musician and practitioner of taasu, which is a rhythmic style of Wolof poetry passed down through generations of griot women. From there it drifts into a wider lineage of women griots and soothsayers, moving between Senegal and Mali, exploring the voice carried as inheritance.
