Omid Jahan (omjvinyls)

Omid Jahan (OMJVinyls) is an Afghan American archivist and DJ, and the head of the Afghan Cassette Archive, a project dedicated to preserving Afghanistan’s cassette-era music and media. He is also the co-founder of Analog Afghan, a label and archival initiative focused on reissuing rare recordings and supporting new work with Afghan artists. Based in the SF Bay Area, his work centers on digitization, cultural preservation, and sharing Afghanistan’s sonic history through curated listening sessions, releases, instagram post and performances.
