Jokwiz

JOKWIZ is a Ugandan MC, filmmaker and cultural curator whose work connects East African music, storytelling and grassroots culture. Moving effortlessly between Singeli, African rhythms, bass music and global club sounds, he brings an infectious energy to every collaboration. As part of this year's Gaswerk residency, he will spend several weeks developing new material and artistic exchanges with Berlin-based musicians, marking the beginning of a broader collaboration with Gaswerksiedlung. During the festival, he will take part in the Radical Music Lab, contributing his distinctive voice, improvisational spirit and deep sense of community.
