John Morales

John Morales is the Disco DJ who also became a legendary Mixer/Remixer in the eighties. John started playing records in his native Bronx, ending up playing in several of the Manhattan clubs. He started editing/remixing his favorite tracks to get himself longer versions to play at his gigs. He also experimented with editing medleys, and much of his work ended up being pressed on acetates. This led to a career as a mixer/remixer for artists and groups like; Jocelyn Brown, Inner Life, Universal Robot Band, Musique, and Bumblebee Unlimited. In 1982, he teamed up with Sergio Munzibai and, together during the 80s, did more than 450 remixes as M+M, this included work for; Rolling Stones, Dan Hartman, Shalamar, Odyssey, Aretha Franklin, and lots of others.
