Boeta gee

Graeme Arendse aka Boeta gee, is a Cape Town based music selector and graphic artist. He has been creating soundscapes from behind the decks for the past (almost) three decades. he helped found two DJ collectives — Fong Kong Bantu Sound System (2004-2010) and Future Nostalgia (2013-present) — dedicated to exploring sounds not often found within South African social and cultural contexts. In recent years, he has combined his image and sound work, using this cross-pollination to explore his own cultural history and roots, and to delve deeper into Great Black Music, with a particular focus on the South African jazz archive.
