Shaw Cain

Shaw Cain is a pop-artist who uses music to illuminate their unique experiences and views on the world as a Black Queer person. They have carved a lane of their own with energetic, genre-bending, dance music layered with soulfully rich vocals. They have created music that feels new and refreshing yet nostalgic for lovers of house, techno, and pop. They touch on themes of friendship, following one’s dreams, and mental health - but from a perspective that is missing in today’s popular media. Following the release of their debut EP “Black Popstar,'' Shaw Cain had the opportunity to perform alongside Big Freedia on her “Big Diva Energy'' tour and in Brooklyn, NY at the popular dance club NOWADAYS. Reginald’s message has remained the same and their hope is that by living unapologetically with boundless self-expression, young queer people of color will feel empowered to embrace their truth, stand up for what they believe in, and take up space.

Shaw Cain is a from Detroit, Michigan and is currently based in Berlin, Germany
