Ableton Move Workshop with Sarah Roellinger Shaikh

Applications are now open for a new beginners workshop series introducing aspiring producers to the Ableton Move.

The Move is Ableton's newest standalone hardware, and allows users to compose tracks on the go, as well as an easy connection to Ableton Live. The course will be taught at the Ableton Learning Lounge by Ableton certified trainer Sarah Roellinger Shaikh aka Monibi – DJ, producer, sound engineer, and label head of Low End Therapy Records. Monibi’s path is guided by music as a holistic and exploratory craft. The craft unfolds through her multi-faceted work where art, sound, culture and technology meet. Monibi’s productions and DJ sets reflect their love for murky bass and nerdy explorations. Monibi pushes a hybrid sound anchored in the intersection of the sound system and grassroot club cultures. Her sound explores recurrent obsessions with percussions and global rhythms, intricate futuristic sound design, and dubby vibes.

Monibi’s cutting edge tunes have been heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC6 Music, Rinse fm, The Lot Radio, and other popular radios. They’ve released music on Martyn’s post-dubstep label 3024, Prague’s experimental bass YUKU, and her own imprint let_rec. Monibi’s a resident at Refuge Worldwide and has DJed at Open Ground, Keep Hush, Fusion Festival, Boiler Room, CTM Festival and more.
