Sonic Resistance explores how musicians express political beliefs through their art, not just in lyrics, but also in sound, structure, mood, and performance. Nansea will use interviews and curated listening to examine how artists act as political voices, intentionally or not. It will spotlight both historical and contemporary artists who challenge norms, share radical ideas, and use their music to reflect or resist the world around them. From explicit protest songs to subtle sonic gestures, this show will ask: how does political intention shape music, and how do listeners feel it?
