With Migrantifa and International Women* Space
In 2012, Oranienplatz in Berlin was occupied by the Refugee Movement. Back then, the occupation and following eviction gave the movement needed relevancy in the Berlin left, which was missing prior.
Today, 13 years later, our siblings continue to endure inhumane conditions in camps, such as the one in Tegel. But, just like back then on O-Platz, our comrades are organizing against the fascist policies of the BRD, which talks about “combating the causes of migration” while creating them with its war politics.
What does the refugee movement need to be able to fight back? What are the specific situations and demands? How can antiracism and antifascism be united in political work? We, Migrantifa Berlin will discuss these questions and more with a comrade from International Women* Space. Yallah tune in!
