Merak Muabet: Roma Focus | Katerinha, Souci & Anita 007

Merak is a collective and an event series dedicated to making queer identities from the Balkans and the diaspora visible. Through music, film, readings, culinary experiences, and performances, among other things, we create spaces for cross-community and international queer solidarity.

Leading up to our next gathering at Torte on 29.4.2026, we sit down to talk about the crucial influence of Roma music in the Balkan culture, together with our member Anita 007 to talk about her personal story as a queer Romani woman.
