Entre Mundos - An encounter of Latin-American rooted bodies in Berlin

Our bodies, as migrants from Latin America, often feel foreign when entering unfamiliar territories. The system constantly reminds us that we do not belong here — yet, in leaving, we have also lost parts of who we were back home. In this space of in-betweenness, something new begins to emerge: a hybrid identity. Sometimes fragmented, sometimes searching — until it finds itself again through community, through shared experience, through collective presence. This event is born from that need to reconnect. Through music, food, dance, and audiovisual storytelling, we aim to create a space of encounter for migrant bodies who have found a new home in Berlin. A space that is both celebratory and reflective. A safe space to explore our experiences of migration, the complexities of identity, and the realities of discrimination — while also nurturing networks of care, support, and belonging. This solidarity event, Entre Mundos - An encounter of Latin-American rooted bodies in Berlin, seeks to be part of Berlin’s rich culture of collective spaces, calling in Latin American migrants, LGBTQ+ communities, black, people of color, and Indigenous communities. It is an invitation to reconnect with our roots while embracing the fluid, evolving identities we carry.
