Elevation sprang up through the concrete of the uneven London pavements to blossom into a multifaceted community that has its roots in hosting club nights and radio shows. Run by Joey Manzi and Nathan Lobban, the two DJs have managed to create spaces that put connection and movement at the top of their agenda. The diverse musical experiences at an Elevation club night speak for the diversity of their London roots. From soulful house to dub, jungle to Afro-Latin jazz, UKG to the hard-hitting and soul-permeating drums of deep house. Joey of Rwandese origin and Nath of Jamaican origin are both seasoned selectors in their own right playing with the likes of Alex Nut( Eglo Records), Errol (Touching Bass), Peven Everett, Erykah Badu, Madlib, and more. Since making their festival debut at Love Supreme last summer, the duo have gone on to make appearances at Cross the Tracks, Soulfuel at NT's LoT, and the Jazz Cafe to name a few. They have also put on their biggest night yet at Peckham's illustrious Carpet Shop. The pair will be going on their first Berlin tour later in the year, playing the likes of Paloma Bar, 60HZ, and Refuge Worldwide.
