ANIMA SGN | ôm ôm

With ôm ôm

This month, ANIMA SGN invites ôm ôm — a Berlin-based project by Ngọc Anh and Thanh Nga — at Refuge Worldwide for an hour of music, poetry, and conversation. ôm ôm (pronounced "ohm ohm") means to hold, to hug, to keep something close. Born from poems and grown through design, it's a shared practice rooted in a love for the analog — making small, tangible pieces meant to be held, sent, and kept. Ngọc Anh Phan (they/them) is a graphic designer working across storytelling, typography, and photography, exploring diasporic and queer memory through an archival lens — tracing how histories move across generations and geographies. Thanh Nga Ngô (she/her) is a writer and communication scientist working at the intersection of language, memory, and connection. Her work explores belonging and in-betweenness, and the quiet tensions that travel across generations. Together, they will join live at the station — playing music, reading poetry, and talking through what ôm ôm holds at its core. Come by, grab a drink, and support in person. Doors open, drinks flowing — all welcome to sit in.
