100% Shinichi Atobe | DJ Heartbreak

A dive into the dub-infused music of the enigmatic Japanese producer, Shinichi Atobe, best known for his unconventional approach of uniting 90s deep house, dub techno, and ambient. Heavily influenced by the Detroit techno and Basic Channel/Maurizio axis, Atobe creates tracks with layers of complex melodies, dreamy pads, and clicks n' cuts percussion that are driven along with dub delays, echoes, and raw staticky reverbs.

Since connecting with the UK label DDS in the mid-2010s, he has released several albums' worth of material, and despite his prolific and refined output, still operates as a passionate full-time producer, only playing the occasional live show in his homeland.
