A tribute to her dad's love of New German Wave and adjacent hits, hannah explores the context of some favorite childhood tracks from the 1980s, and traces how its themes, aesthetics and musical language resurface in contemporary German-language pop. The show will revisit key (read: favourite) NDW tracks against present examples in their shared use of synths, irony and playfulness to reflect critical and disillusioned perspectives.
