UTOPIEN26 in Hannover

Kulturzentrum Pavillon in Hannover is bringing the project UTOPIEN back to Andreas-Hermes-Platz in 2026. On three Thursdays in summer, the public square will become an open cultural space, with conversations, performances, music, DJ sets and artistic works.

The opening event on 25 June 2026 is titled “Who Has Space in the City?”. On 2 July 2026, UTOPIEN then turns its focus to memory and coexistence. The programme brings together conversations, an outdoor performance by Ahmad Mallah and Rebecca Lillich Krüger, as well as a vinyl DJ set from Refuge Worldwide resident and AL.Festival founder, VEX. The three part series concludes on 9 July 2026 with “UTOPIEN meets Sub:stance”, featuring music by rapper Vasil, a conversation and DJ sets by local collectives.

The events take place from 6 pm to 10 pm on Andreas-Hermes-Platz. Admission is free.

Das Kulturzentrum Pavillon bringt 2026 das Projekt UTOPIEN zurück auf den Andreas-Hermes-Platz. An drei Donnerstagen im Sommer entsteht dort ein offener Kultur- und Begegnungsraum mit Gesprächen, Performances, Musik, DJ Sets und künstlerischen Arbeiten.

An drei Abenden treffen unterschiedliche Perspektiven, Geschichten und Formen von Öffentlichkeit aufeinander. Den Auftakt bildet am 25. Juni 2026 „Wer hat Platz in der Stadt?“. Am 2. Juli 2026 richtet UTOPIEN den Blick auf Erinnerung und Zusammenleben. Das Programm verbindet Gespräche, eine Outdoor-Performance von Ahmad Mallah und Rebecca Lillich Krüger sowie ein Vinyl-DJ-Set in Zusammenarbeit mit VEX von AL.Festival and Refuge Worldwide. Den Abschluss bildet am 9. Juli 2026 „UTOPIEN meets Sub:stance“ mit Musik von der Rapperin Vasil, Gesprächmeets Sub:stance“ mit Musik von Rapperin Vasil, Gespräch und DJ-Sets lokaler Kollektive. Die Veranstaltungen finden jeweils von 18 bis 22 Uhr auf dem Andreas-Hermes-Platz statt. Der Eintritt ist frei.
