Lebanon Emergency Relief Fundraiser

This Sunday we’re gathering at a DIY venue (near Jannowitzbrücke) to raise emergency relief funds for people in Lebanon. The funds will be carried directly by trusted individuals working on the ground. The event is hosted in collaboration with Root Radio, Global South United and Egyptian Diaspora.

Grassroots efforts are mobilizing to support displaced in families southern Lebanon and the suburbs of Beirut. All donations will go toward urgently needed essentials — medications, mattresses, blankets, food, and other basic supplies. From 3-11PM, we will host live performances, DJ sets, film screenings and readings, as well as a catering. Entry will be a suggested sliding scale donation of 10-15 euros though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. There will be musical performances by Adam Cooke, ágata, AL.Berlin Crew, Andre Pahl, DINA, Habibi Funk, Jeena, Lamb, Lunacy of Flowers, Marwan Hawash, Posezur, Tot Onyx, and µ Ensemble, as well as films by Jayce Salloum & Walid Raad and Basyma Saad, plus a reading by Jara.

Please note the venue also charge a 5€ membership fee, which lasts for a year.
