YASMEENAH

With Midwestern roots and a global ear, YASMEENAH is a DJ, curator, and community builder known for soulful grooves, African polyrhythms, and a deep connection to underground Black music. Founder of Minneapolis-based UNBOTHERED and a core member of Detroit’s Blueprint crew, she has spent the past decade building spaces that connect house music’s roots with jazz, broken beat, and global sounds. Now based in Brooklyn, she continues to push that vision forward, most recently with a vinyl-exclusive release on Kai Alcé’s NDATL label for Deep Detroit.
