黃美琦 vicki huang is a Taiwanese-American Kaohsiung based musician, DJ-producer, and vinyl storyteller focused on the preservation and revival of Taiwanese folk music across generations. Their work explores diasporic memory through sound, reimagining archival materials with contemporary downtempo and electronic grooves. Vicki is an amateur archivist and founder of 鹽埕區長 salt district mayor, a living archive and audiovisual label devoted to forgotten voices and field recordings of Taiwanese folk music and roots culture.
