Swagokat

Swagokat is a DJ, producer, selector, and vinyl collector. He is the founder of the disco-focused party series “Vortex” and curator of the independent music platform alalasound. Swagokat has performed at a wide range of festivals and events, including Stihia, Vihod, Spekto, Groove Me, Hotel727, Bass Place, among others. He has shared the stage with notable figures of the electronic scene such as DJ Assault, Mr. Ho, Lauer, Ishome, Mogwaa, Ivan Dorn, and more. While his sets are deeply rooted in disco, his musical range spans multiple genres, blending classic house, Detroit sound, world music, italo, UK garage, jungle, and beyond. Swagokat has always been deeply connected to music. He played bass in several bands before shifting his focus to electronic music and started producing his own tracks in 2014. In 2018, he began organizing underground parties in his hometown Karaganda, Kazakhstan, hosting them in a former printing workshop. This period marked his deeper immersion into DJing, and soon after, he started building his vinyl collection.
