Samantha Tiussi

Samantha Tiussi, born in 1983, is a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. With a background in classical music and visual arts, she focuses on immersive installations and performances. Her work, which is based on synesthesia, allows her to visualise sounds as shapes. Glass, a material she frequently uses, comes from her childhood experiences with her father. As an artist with autism and ADHD, her unique perception drives her to projects such as Creatures (glass robots) and Piano Glass (an experimental instrument), she combines technology, sound, and the body to explore the boundaries of sensory experiences. Samantha's practice is to create imaginary ecosystems that challenge societal boundaries and perceptions of otherness and how to create a more inclusive society.
