Queer Analog Darkroom is a self-organized collective committed to a more collaborative approach to visual arts and to resisting the depoliticization of photography. At the core of their work is the darkroom, which works towards the redistribution of knowledge, increasing accessibility and mutual empowerment—both spatially and through shared learning. In doing so, QAD seeks to challenge predominantly cis-heteronormative, firmly hierarchical, white, neoliberal structures and to collectively create new imageries as forms of resistance.
