Petals In Sound

Liverpool-based producer and DJ, Petals In Sound (Louise Baldwin), has been making a name for herself in the underground house music scene for the past few years, crafting a unique sound which blends hazy, jazzy house music with deep, atmospheric electronic textures. Her diverse taste in music plays a huge part in the way her productions play out to the listener, as she draws influence from her love of disco, house and acid combined with guitar-focused genres such as shoegaze. She cites Daniel Avery as a big influence as well as the likes of Space Ghost and Retromigration. Petals In Sound’s catalogue includes releases with the likes of Closer to Truth, Boyanza Records, Quantize Recodings and Dealt With Records. She is also a mainstay on Berlin’s Dirt Crew Recordings, and has worked with a diverse roster of remixers from the likes of Bruise, Henrik Villard, Kaysoul, and Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo. Petals In Sound’ music has gained support from Deeper Shades of House, NTS Radio, Rinse FM and the Sloth Boogie Radio Show.
