MzRizk

MzRizk is a Melbourne/Naarm-based DJ, broadcaster and cultural programmer whose genre-fluid sets move across house, disco, hip-hop, jazz, soul, electronic and Arabic music. Drawing on a record collection built over decades, she moves fluently between vinyl and digital, layering rare cuts and global club sounds with deep musical knowledge and a sharp instinct for rhythm. Her selections often bridge soulful, percussive dance music with Arabic and SWANA sounds, bringing a distinct diasporic ear to contemporary club culture. She has performed internationally in cities spanning Beirut, Berlin, Dubai, London and New York, with events and venues including Soul In The Horn, Spiritland, KED and Honeycomb. Festival appearances include Fusion, Love Supreme, Glastonbury Festival, We Out Here, SOLE DXB and Soundwave (Croatia), alongside Australian festivals and events including Strawberry Fields, Golden Plains, When Pigs Fly, Glitterbox, the Australian Open and the Melbourne Fashion Festival. She also performs as tour DJ for neo-soul artist Kaiit. Across her career, she has shared stages with artists including Chaka Khan, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Jill Scott, Maxwell, BadBadNotGood, DJ Spinna, Rahaan, Snarky Puppy, John Morales, Osunlade, Fatboy Slim and Public Enemy. Beyond DJing, MzRizk hosts the long-running Boogie Beat Suite on PBS 106.7FM and is founder of Habibi Hafla, a platform dedicated to contemporary SWANA music and culture.
