Marius Iris

Marius is a selector who puts together dream-like atmospheres in non-linear mixes which take form, disintegrate, and reassemble. Interested in understanding the human experience and context behind sound, he takes a curious approach to digging into musical lineages from jazz, dub, reggae, or punk and their many offshoots.

He is drawn towards ambiguous sound textures that are rough around the edges and flow through feelings and ambiences: hazy mists, gentle summer breezes, or hard-hitting thunderstorms, from floaty to bass-heavy, for and from the soul.

As a sound artist, Marius explores the connection between space, sound, and community.
