Laylo

Laylo is an indie-pop singer-songwriter from Tashkent. She is the great-granddaughter of the legendary Uzbek classical composer Yunus Rajabi. In early 2024, her self-produced single "Home" went viral. Recorded on a laptop in her kitchen, it raised awareness about Uzbekistan's environmental crises, like the Aral Sea disaster and deforestation. Often called the "Uzbek Billie Eilish" for her melancholic, intimate delivery, her music focuses deeply on mental health, vulnerability, and civic consciousness. In October 2025, she released her debut EP "Roots", blending modern indie-pop with traditional Uzbek instruments played by her uncles.
