Judas Companion

Judas Companion explores metamorphosis and emotional transformation through painting, mask-making, photography, and film. Their work visualises inner turmoil, using masks to express suppressed emotions and subconscious processes.

Focusing on mental health and the impact of emotional suppression, Judas Companion creates characters embodying the inner scream of unexpressed feelings. These works highlight the disconnection from one’s true self, often leading to mental struggles like anxiety and depression, and reflect the tension between societal expectations and personal identity.

Initially a shield against vulnerability, Judas Companion has become a means to confront and express it. Through photography, often featuring nude bodies and masked faces, they explore themes of fragility, beauty, and the human condition, delving into genesis, seduction, and the fall of man.
