JUANA

JUANA blends her artistic paths as a self-producing musician and dancer, integrating the cultural diversity of her upbringing. The Latina explores the interaction between these forms, drawing from her dance roots in the Berlin house and hip-hop freestyle scenes. With her Bachelor's in Electronic Music Production & Performance, the multi-instrumentalist fuses art rock, ambient, and Latin rhythms. You will find her capturing field recordings in forests, during travels, and in everyday moments, driven by a passion for creating context, narrative, and storytelling within her soundscapes. In 2022, she debuted her first dance production "De mon âme à ton âme" at the Berliner Festspiele with her duo. She has presented pieces featuring her music at venues like Heimathafen Neukölln and the gallery atelierhaus mengerzeile. There, she contributed to "EXHALATION" by Sarah Schurian, an installation about textile waste and future utopias. In 2024, she also collaborated on a musical piece for an audio-visual installation showcased at Sónar Istanbul. Since finishing her first two EPs and interdisciplinary piece “HERE SURROUNDED BY WATER”, JUANA has performed them in intimate venues and bars such as Holzmarkt, Loophole, and tak Theater Berlin.
