GANNA

GANNA is Berlin-based singer, composer and producer from Ukraine. Since 2013 she has been researching and reimagining Ukrainian folklore. For her folktronica live looping set she combines the power of Ukrainian folklore with elaborate electronic sound production.

Her solo debut album KUPALA came out in 2023 and was voted "One of the BEST UKRAINIAN ALBUMS 2023” by MIXMAG (UA) and Slukh.Media Radio (UA) wrote: "The three-dimensional sound design constantly changes and the artist tells stories based on folk motives with a sensual voice and precise mood.” LIVEUROPE acknowledged the album as “New European Sound 2024”.

Following the showcase performances at Reeperbahn festival and WOMEX - world wide music expo in 2024 GANNA is touring the world committed to spreading the cultural heritage from her homeland.

On October 17th 2025 BERTHOLD records released GANNA´s new album UTOPIA that once more showcases the beauty of ancient Ukrainian folklore and original compositions mixed with driving Peruvian rhythms and enchanting traditional flutes from Ukraine, among other exiting sounds. taz newspaper wrote about GANNA and the live performance of UTOPIA: "Vocal acrobat, magician on the electronic set”. Swedish jazz magazine writes:””Occasionally reminiscent of Björk, conveying feminine power”. Ö1 radio (AT) describes GANNA as “one of the most impressive singers and musician of the European jazz and global music scene”.
