Farhàd Baloch

Farhád Baloch is a Berlin-based DJ and artist, a first-generation refugee being in exile in Germany since 2016. The DJ journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic in Göttingen, bringing sounds and perspectives beyond the city’s predominantly white techno scene.

The sound blends Balochi Lewa, Zairook, Makurani Timbok, Laikoo, Balochi Rap, Kurdish and South Asian sounds, Arabic instrumentation, Egyptian bass, Darbuka, Afrobeats, Hip Hop, Afrotech, Bass Music and electronic sounds.

Each set is a form of storytelling, weaving traditional rhythms and contemporary genres into a journey through memories, cultures, and places. Music becomes a way to reconnect with home, belonging, and the feeling of carrying multiple worlds within one sound.
